Saturday's Food Contests
Test yourself Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Fiesta as we start the 2025 eating contest. Enter in the garden fresh jalapeno eating contest, and the burrito eating contest!
Spectate or enter our first-annual spiciest bite/drink contest! This contest is open to all Fiesta food vendors and local restaurants. Fiesta food vendors enter for free, and restaurants can enter for a small registration fee.
The contest will be judged by four individuals who will score based on spice and flavors!
All contestants will be recognized on Facebook for participation, and the winner will be highlighted on our social media accounts, featured on our website, have the opportunity to make a featured video of their dish, and receive a trophy.

MEXICAN FIESTA 5k fun run/walk

Join Patty and others on September 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. for the 5 K Fun Run/Walk. The run will take place rain or shine and will only be canceled if lightning is present at the start time. There will not be a makeup date if the event is canceled.. The race will begin and end at the Hospitality Garden in the village on 34th and Q in Fort Madison, across from the main stage.
Registration
The registration is $25.00 (no refunds) with a guaranteed t-shirt if you register before or on September 9th. Please make checks payable to the Ft. Madison Mexican Fiesta and send them to P.O. Box 331, Ft. Madison, IA, 52627, along with paper registration forms.
Race Day Schedule
Registration and t-shirt pickup from 7:00 - 7:45 am at the tables by the stage. The run/walk will start at 8:00 am.

Treat your taste buds to mouthwatering, authentic Mexican cuisine from local vendors, explore unique crafts, try your luck at amazing raffle prizes, plus enjoy carnival games and rides for everyone!
Start your Saturday morning off with our 5K hosted by Patty Martin, or bring the family down for our helmet giveaway and bike parade. Then participate or watch the brave as we host our jalapeno and burrito eating contest, and then enjoy our new spiciest bite/drink contest!
